Sara “Scout” Sinclair Brody is a product manager at Google Ideas and focuses on anti-censorship and democracy-building technologies. Before joining Ideas, she worked on the Android operating system and Google’s information security team. She earned a Ph.D. from Dartmouth College for research on the usability and utility of access control in large corporate settings—including investment banks, hospitals, and software companies—and a B.A. from Wellesley College in computer Science and french. She has authored numerous academic articles, co-edited Insider Attack and Cyber Security: Beyond the Hacker (Springer, 2008), and served on the program committee of the Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC), USEC, and other computer security conferences. |
