Ashish Luthra is the Director of Security at Afilias, leading the initiatives for Enterprise Security, Audits and Domain Security management . With over 13 years experience in the domain industry, Ashish has been part of several top-level domain launches at Afilias including .INFO in 2001, .ASIA in 2007 and .ME in 2008. Managing the operations department at Afilias, he was instrumental in the setup of Afilias’ operation in India and relaunch of .IN registry in 2004. Ashish is currently also leading the anti-abuse programs and security services for Afilias operated new TLDs to manage spam, phishing, malware and other types of e-crime and domain abuse issues. He holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Electronics and Communication, is Oracle Certified Database Administrator and holds CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) and CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) security certifications. He is an active member in the security community, participating in ISACA events, APWG (Anti-Phishing Working Group), MAAWG (Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group) and working with security, Law Enforcement and Government agencies. |
