Mihoko Matsubara is a cyber security analyst at Hitachi Systems in Tokyo, focusing on geopolitical threats and policy issues. She is also adjunct fellow at the Pacific Forum CSIS. She previously served the Japanese Ministry of Defense for nine years and her work earned three letters of appreciation from the U.S. government. Matsubara actively publishes articles and papers and speak at various conferences and seminars. Matsubara received her M.A. in international relations and economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, Washington DC. She was a Fulbright Scholar between 2009 and 2012.
