Colin McKay is the head of public policy and government relations for Google in Canada. Before joining Google, he worked as director of research and public education at the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, where his team researched the impact of the digital economy on personal privacy and then built tools to help individuals understand their privacy rights. Colin is a member of the Government of Canada advisory panel on open government, and is a member of the board at Media Smarts, a not-for-profit organization that provides youth with critical thinking skills to engage with media as active and informed digital citizens.
