Alejandro Pisanty is a professor at National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and chair of Internet Society Mexico with experience in teaching, research, e-learning, consulting, operation of large networks, and Internet governance. He has been an active participant and leader in ICANN, WSIS, WGIG, and the IGF since their inceptions. He has led campaigns to influence telecommunications and Internet tax laws, intellectual-property online agreements and laws, and other Internet issues. His most recent publication is on network neutrality risk management, a guide to understanding and reacting to violations of this principle.
