James Tay is Digital Development Coordinator at IFEX, a global network of over 88 organisations connected by a shared commitment to defend and promote freedom of expression as a fundamental human right. Prior to joining IFEX, James was a research associate at the Citizen Lab where he was technical coordinator for the OpenNet Initiative and researched internet censorship, surveillance, and cyber security. He earned his Masters of Public Policy from the University of Toronto where his research focused on Internet governance and the nexus of technology policy, security, and human rights. |
